I paint seascapes and landscpares inspired by memory, plein air studies and my own photographs. I am fascinated by the contrast of the foreboding, dark and turbulent waters against the serenty of luminous and inviting skies. My challenge is to utilize subtlety of color to translate and enhance nature’s ever changing moods, allowing me to transport the viewer from the familiar to the complexities of the imagination.
