*Stunned*. That’s how I felt the first time I saw The Great Wave off Kanagawa by Katsushika Hokusai in person at the Metropolitan Museum a few years ago. The love of that piece has been with me since. From its influence, I knew I wanted to explore the Japanese woodblock print style one day!
Well, today is the day that I want to share great news with you: I have been awarded a scholarship in Printmaking from Manhattan Graphics Center, where I will be focusing on Japanese Woodblock Prints! The scholarship is for 8 weeks and starts today. I will have full access to the print shop for the entire year, where I will to continue produce prints. I will share with you images of my new prints as they come out of the press. Please make sure you are following me on Instagram or have liked my art page on Facebook to be the first one who sees these prints first.
Below are images of two of my stone lithographs prints.
Stay tuned for the new prints!
Feel free to get in touch if you have any questions. I would always be happy to meet or chat with you.
